Built Creative Frontiers from zero to 200+ projects. Led Grant Assistant AI to $1M ARR and an acquisition by FreeWill.
Mustafa co-founded Creative Frontiers in 2014 with Yahya Ehsan and Murtaza, bringing together backgrounds in media, design and business. Over the next decade it grew into a team of 40+ creatives across three locations, delivering 200+ projects for more than 100 mission-driven clients.
In early 2024 he founded Grant Assistant, an AI proposal-writing platform for nonprofits. As an immigrant to the United States, he had seen firsthand how inaccessible grant writing can be to anyone not fluent in its language, and living around the world alongside the international development community showed him how many organizations were left out. Grant Assistant grew from $200K to $1M ARR in under a year and was acquired by FreeWill in October 2024, where Mustafa stayed on after the acquisition.
At ActivatUs he sets the direction: taking what worked in the studio and in Grant Assistant and rebuilding it around intelligence.
