Rebecca Semmes
Former USAID BHA Office Director with 20+ years in international development.
Rebecca spent more than 20 years in international development and humanitarian response, most of it at USAID. She served as Director of the Office of Humanitarian Assistance for Yemen, leading one of the most complex humanitarian operations in the world, and earlier as a regional Food for Peace officer for East Africa.
Her career in the field began as a Peace Corps public health volunteer in Senegal and a disaster response volunteer with the American Red Cross, with a stint at InterAction along the way. Before ActivatUs she was Co-CEO of Creative Frontiers.
