Rob Russell
Former FreeWill CRO and Thomson Reuters government business development director.
Rob has spent his career on the revenue side of mission-driven work: Chief Revenue Officer at FreeWill, and before that leading government business development at Thomson Reuters.
He joined Grant Assistant in its beta as Chief Revenue Officer and helped take it from launch to its acquisition by FreeWill. He also founded Flying Sqrl Consulting, helping small and mid-sized tech companies grow in the public sector through market assessment, strategic roadmaps and go-to-market planning.
At ActivatUs he runs strategy, which in practice means reading the research behind every engagement and deciding what it actually tells us to do. Off the clock he is president of Loudoun Soccer and coaches high school girls soccer.
